SQL Server Database Administrator

Job descriptionImplement high availability solutions (failover clusters, Always On Availability Groups). Diagnose and resolve database performance issues. Troubleshoot database errors and exceptions. Identify and fix data integrity issues. Monitor and analyze database performance metrics. Implement performance tuning techniques (indexing, query optimization, partitioning). Implement and enforce database security policies and procedures. Monitor and audit database activity. Protect sensitive data through encryption and other security measures. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 7+ years of hands-on experience with SQL Server database administration. Strong knowledge of SQL Server concepts, including T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, Experience with SQL Server replication, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions. Experience with database design and normalization techniques. Proficiency in troubleshooting database performance issues. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances.
- Perform routine database maintenance tasks, such as backups, restores, and index optimization.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Implement and maintain database security measures.
- Design and implement efficient database schemas.
- Create and optimize stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
- Develop and implement data normalization and denormalization techniques.
- Configure and manage database replication environments (log shipping, replication,
mirroring).
