Skilled Electrical Technician Job Description

A Senior Electrical Technician oversees electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs, requiring advanced knowledge of electrical systems (like Mitsubishi, Omron, Delta, Siemens PLC’s and HMI) and the ability to work independently or with team. They ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards while diagnosing and repairing complex issues and performing routine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities of a Senior Electrical Technician :

• Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting :

Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues, including system failures, equipment malfunctions, and faults in components.

Perform routine and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment, ensuring their functionality and integrity.

Ensure adherence to national electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Collaborate with other departments to install, upgrade, and modify electrical systems.

Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance, and inspections.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, leading projects and supervising team members.

Prioritize safety by adhering to safety protocols, implementing safety measures, and ensuring a safe work environment.

Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and resolve complex electrical problems.

Collaborate with other departments, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless project / work execution.

Identify opportunities to improve electrical systems, reduce downtime, and enhance efficiency.
