Key Responsibilities :
Requirements Elicitation & Analysis :
- Lead and facilitate workshops, interviews, and other elicitation techniques to gather, analyze, and document comprehensive business requirements from diverse stakeholders.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Agile User Story Creation & Management :
Demonstrate strong proficiency in writing clear, concise, and actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria, ensuring they are ready for development.Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.Manage and prioritize product backlog items, collaborating closely with Product Owners and development teams.Facilitate grooming sessions to ensure a shared understanding of user stories within the team.Solution Design & Validation :
Translate business requirements into functional specifications, process flows, wireframes, and other relevant documentation.Collaborate with technical teams (developers, architects, QA) to ensure that proposed solutions are technically feasible and align with business objectives.Support the testing phase by reviewing test cases and assisting with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that solutions meet defined requirements.Stakeholder Communication & Management :
Act as a primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.Manage stakeholder expectations and foster strong, collaborative relationships.Present solutions and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.Process Improvement :
Analyze current business processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose improvements to optimize workflows and enhance operational efficiency.Contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis practices and methodologies within the organization.Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-Have) :
Must possess a strong background in Information Technology, demonstrating a fundamental understanding of IT systems and software development lifecycles.Minimum of 8+ years of overall experience in Business Analysis.Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience working extensively in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).Exceptional ability in writing, refining, and managing user stories, including defining acceptance criteria.Solid foundational knowledge of basic IT topics, including :Understanding of common operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and their basic functionalities.Knowledge of database concepts (e.g., relational databases, SQL queries, data modeling principles).Basic understanding of programming concepts and familiarity with at least one common programming language (e.g., Java, Python, .NET) to effectively communicate with development teams.Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to break down complex problems and identify root causes.Proven track record of effectively solving business and technical problems.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice-versa.Strong negotiation, facilitation, and influencing skills.Proficient in creating various documentation such as Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), process flow diagrams (e.g., using Visio), etc.Familiarity with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have) :
Certifications in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CSPO).Experience with specific industry domains relevant to TCS projects (e.g., Banking, Financial Services, Retail, Healthcare).Experience with data analysis tools and techniques.Knowledge of APIs and integration concepts.Education :
