Position Title : Sales Head FMCG (Foods) for a leading FMCG Co for south India
Location : CHENNAI / BANGALORE
Region to be covered : TN / Karnataka / AP / Telangana
Experience : Minimum 15+ Years in FMCG Food category at Sales Head / GM / VP leve l
Age : Around 45 Years
Qualification :
- MBA from a reputed B School / university.
Industry Background Required :
Must be from a core FMCG background , specifically Foods . Should have worked with aggressive and fast-paced food FMCG companies in the last 15 years.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and drive sales strategy across multiple southern states (preferably Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana ).Manage a business turnover of INR 100+ Crores , ensuring consistent revenue growth.Oversee end-to-end sales and distribution execution to meet and exceed sales goals.Provide leadership in building and managing a high-performance sales team.Ensure successful recruitment, orientation, training , and delegation of responsibilities across sales teams.Coordinate closely with marketing, supply chain, and finance for seamless business operations.Set sales objectives, monitor performance metrics, and implement course corrections where needed.Conduct regular market visits, competitor benchmarking, and channel engagement.Ensure high levels of discipline, accountability, and execution excellence in all areas.Key Requirements :
Must have risen through the ranks from Frontline Sales to Branch Manager / Sales Head.Strong expertise in people management, motivation, and team development .Deep understanding of the challenges in executing sales & distribution objectives at scale.Proficient in handling multi-regional sales operations , preferably across 23 southern states .Fluency in Southern regional languages and Hindi is a must.Street-smart, trustworthy, highly committed, and disciplined individual with a strong sense of ownership .Must be punctual, positive, receptive , and willing to coordinate closely with various stakeholders.Should be able to join within short span of time .Compensation :
