Head - Adhoc Groups Role Objective To lead the Adhoc Groups business by driving end-to-end group travel solutions for customized leisure, affinity and special interest groups. The role involves P&L ownership, product planning, client engagement, supplier management, and ensuring delivery of seamless, high-quality travel experiences.
Purpose of Role : To strategically lead and grow the Adhoc Groups business by developing and delivering customized travel solutions for varied group segments including leisure, affinity, religious and special interest groups. The role is responsible for driving revenue, ensuring operational excellence, building strong client and supplier relationships, and enhancing the customer experience across both domestic and international markets. This position plays a pivotal role in expanding the group travel portfolio, optimizing profitability, and positioning the company as a preferred provider of bespoke group travel experiences.
Key Responsibilities :
Define and implement strategic growth plans for the Adhoc Groups vertical. ▪ Own and drive the business P&L, revenue, and margin targets.
Identify key demand segments and develop customized offerings.
Curate destination-specific group itineraries aligned with group size, purpose, and traveler profile.
Customize products for long haul and short haul destinations based on seasonality and trends.
Coordinate with DMCs and suppliers for unique inclusions, experiences, and competitive pricing. ▪ Partner with sales teams for proposal creation and client presentations.
Lead high-value client discussions and support in deal closures.
Monitor and improve conversion ratios of leads to confirmed groups.
Supervise pre-tour, on-tour, and post-tour operations to ensure excellence in service delivery.
Work with visa, ticketing, and documentation teams for group requirements.
Handle escalations and ensure timely issue resolution for smooth group movement.
Maintain strong relations with DMCs, hotels, airlines, and transport partners.
Negotiate group deals, block inventories, and secure preferred rates.
Lead and mentor a team of group planners, coordinators, and operations executives.
Build cross-functional collaboration and drive a customer-first culture.
