Job Title : Sr. Operations & Maintenance Manager (Solar)

As the Sr. Operations and Maintenance Manager in the Solar Department, you will be responsible for leading, strategizing, and managing the operation and maintenance of distributed solar projects up to 100 MW capacity. Your role will ensure high uptime, safety, and performance of all solar assets, supporting the companys vision to deliver reliable and efficient clean energy solutions.
Job Purpose : Job Duties :
- Lead and oversee the operation and maintenance of multiple ground-mounted and distributed solar power plants (up to 100MW).
- Establish, monitor, and continuously improve systems and processes to optimize plant performance and energy generation.
- Take full ownership of distributed solar projects and ensure operational excellence across locations.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for uninterrupted plant operation.
- Analyze plant performance data, identify efficiency losses, and implement data-driven corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards across all O&M sites.
- Supervise, train, and manage on-ground O&M teams and ensure effective manpower deployment.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors, and external vendors to resolve operational and technical issues efficiently.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of solar technology trends, asset management practices, and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare reports, documentation, and performance dashboards for senior management review.
Required Qualifications :
Experience :
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Solar O&M, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.Proven ability to independently manage and operate solar power projects totaling up to 100MW.Knowledge :
In-depth understanding of O&M best practices for solar power plants, both ground-mounted and distributed.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, inverters, SCADA systems, and solar asset performance monitoring.Expertise in statutory, regulatory, and safety compliance for solar operations.Proficiency in managing spare parts and inventory across multiple sites.Skills :
