Director - Platform Engineering

Responsibilities :

Platform & Technical Leadership

• Lead the architecture, engineering, and delivery of key platform components across data observability, developer tooling, and use-case enablement within the Lumi platform.
• Champion modern data engineering best practices and distributed computing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Beam, and Flink.
• Drive platform scalability, high availability, and performance across petabyte-scale data workloads.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to maintain platform leadership.
• Strategic Execution & Transformation ;
• Spearhead the migration of on-prem Hadoop workloads (Hive, MapReduce, Spark) to public cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS / Azure experience also valuable).
• Define and drive multi-year platform strategy and OKRs aligned with enterprise data goals.
• Collaborate across cloud engineering, security, infrastructure, and product teams to deliver cohesive and innovative platform solutions.
