Research Analyst - Real Estate Market
Overview :
- The Real Estate Market Research Analyst will be responsible for conducting in-depth research on commercial real estate (CRE) trends, market dynamics, and competitor activity.
- The role focuses on supply-side intelligence, rental benchmarking, and investment trends to support strategic decision-making in expansion planning, pricing strategies, and asset selection.
Key Responsibilities :
Market Research & Industry Analysis :
Conduct comprehensive research on commercial real estate trends, including supply-demand shifts, rental performance, and investment patterns.Analyze leasing structures, capital values, CAP rates, and revenue models across Grade A and flexible office spaces.Identify growth opportunities in emerging segments such as managed offices, franchise-based CRE models, and PropTech-driven solutions.Competitor Intelligence & Benchmarking :
Track and benchmark rental trends, occupancy levels, and leasing velocity in key office markets.Analyze the expansion strategies, asset acquisitions, and pricing models of major IPCs, developers, and coworking operators.Provide comparative insights on vacancy rates, deal structures, incentives, and financial performance of competitors.Strategic Insights & Reporting :
Develop market reports, feasibility studies, and location assessments to support business decisions.Present data-backed recommendations to leadership for supply expansion, pricing adjustments, and partnership opportunities.Work closely with internal stakeholders (Commercial, Leasing, Investments) to align research insights with business strategy.Experience & Skills :
3-5 years of experience in real estate market research, consulting, or investment advisory within an IPC or leading real estate advisory firm.Strong understanding of office leasing dynamics (Grade A, flex, managed, enterprise solutions).Proficiency in data analytics tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL preferred).Exposure to financial modeling, lease analysis, and market forecasting is a plus.Preferred Background :
Experience in real estate consulting firms (JLL, CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, Knight Frank, Savills, etc.).Strong understanding of flex workspaces, managed offices, and emerging CRE business models.Proven ability to synthesize market intelligence into actionable business strategies.ref : iimjobs.com)
