We have an exciting opportunity for an Analog Design Lead to join our Gallium Nitride (GaN) Product Line in the High Voltage Power Business Unit in Analog Power Products. GaN is a wide-bandgap semiconductor technology which offers the potential to revolutionize the power semiconductor market by enabling significantly higher power density than existing silicon-based alternatives. The GaN team is fighting in a new & fast-growing market against established competitors & emerging start-ups to be the #1 GaN power supplier. GaN is a key strategic investment for TI that offers huge upside potential & penetration into the $20B+ discrete MOSFET TAM.
What will you be doing in this role? (Responsibilities)
Circuit designs for AC / DC & DC / DC power converters with high power density, high efficiency, low emissions etc. Design of power FET driver for GaN / Silicon FET technology and different converter topologies with built in smart features will be the key challenge in this role. We strive to take the power density to the next height and eliminate reliability concerns for the power stage (driver + power FET). Develop an integration strategy for power stage in high power applications.
End-to-end responsibility for the chip / products starting from specification alignments to release to market.
What do we expect from you? (Mini Qualifications)
Knowledge and Skills
Strong Electrical engineering fundamentals & basic analog building blocks.
Experience in design of Analog & Power Management Circuits.
Experience in activities like circuit block spec definition, top-level simulations, design verification and design for test.
Good communication, presentation skills and team work.
Bachelors / Masters in Electrical / Electronics Engineering

Preferred Skills / Experience
2-5 years of relevant experience
Experience in defining circuit architecture for Analog Circuits & / or Power Converters.
Experience in working with component development / ATD a plus
Ability to execute full chip or complex analog, power & mixed signal designs from concept to PG.
Experience in silicon debug and characterization.
