Senior System Engineer - DevOps

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Lead and Optimize Deployments : Drive the deployment of in-house and custom applications, ensuring seamless and automated processes. This includes architecting and implementing advanced deployment strategies.
• Kubernetes & Docker Mastery : Design, implement, and manage highly available and scalable Kubernetes clusters and Docker containerized environments.
• CI / CD Pipeline Ownership : Architect, build, and maintain robust CI / CD pipelines to accelerate application delivery and ensure code quality.
• Automation Champion : Proactively identify and automate repetitive tasks across the infrastructure, development, and operational lifecycles.
• Code Review & Quality Assurance : Lead code reviews for infrastructure-as-code and deployment scripts, ensuring best practices, security, and performance.
• System Architecture & Troubleshooting : Collaborate closely with agile development teams to resolve complex architecture-related issues and provide expert guidance.
• Network & Security Focus : Implement and enforce strong network and security policies, ensuring the integrity and protection of our systems and data. This includes a deep understanding of OS security.
• System Administration & Monitoring : Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software on Linux environments. Proactively monitor system configurations and application performance (including Oracle databases and Windows applications) to ensure data integrity and optimal operation.
• Disaster Recovery & Upgrades : Plan and execute new software releases and upgrades, and manage robust system backup / imaging and recovery strategies.
• Vendor Collaboration : Work directly with vendors for various software installations and issue resolution.
• Mentorship & Best Practices : Act as a subject matter expert, mentoring junior engineers and driving the adoption of industry best practices.
