Job Summary

Evolute Group is seeking a highly accomplished, strategic, and hands-on Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee and optimize the company's day-to-day operations. Based in Vijay Nagar, Gujarat, the COO will be a vital member of the executive leadership team, directly reporting to the CEO. This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence across all functions, including production, supply chain, project delivery, quality control, customer service, and other administrative areas. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of scaling operations, driving efficiency, and implementing best practices in a high-growth manufacturing or technology company.

Key Strategy & Execution :

  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company's overall business goals, growth targets, and financial objectives.
  • Translate strategic plans into clear, actionable operational processes, procedures, and performance metrics.
  • Oversee the execution of all operational activities to ensure efficiency, productivity, and profitability.

Production & Manufacturing Excellence :

  • Lead and optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring high-quality product output, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles, automation, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen) to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Manage production planning, capacity utilization, and resource allocation to meet demand fluctuations.

    • Supply Chain Management :

  • Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and vendor relations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to build a resilient, cost-effective, and efficient supply chain.
  • Negotiate key supplier contracts and manage relationships to ensure optimal terms and reliable material flow.

    • Project Delivery & Customer Service :

  • Ensure the efficient and successful execution of customer projects, from planning and scheduling to installation and commissioning.
  • Develop and maintain high standards of customer service and post-sales support, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Implement robust project management methodologies and tools.

    • Quality Assurance & Compliance :

  • Establish and enforce rigorous quality control standards across all operational processes and product lines.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and internal policies.
  • Drive a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

    • Team Leadership & Development :

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Identify talent needs, recruit key personnel, and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration between operations and other departments (e.g., R&D, Sales, Finance).

    • Financial Management & Budgeting :

  • Manage operational budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies that contribute to profitability.
  • Provide regular reports on operational performance, key metrics, and financial outcomes to the executive team.

    • Technology & Digital Transformation :

  • Champion the adoption of new technologies, automation tools, and digital solutions to enhance operational efficiency and data-driven Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Production), Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations management, with a significant portion of this experience in a senior leadership role (e.g., VP of Operations, Head of Operations, COO) within a manufacturing, industrial automation, robotics, or high-tech engineering company.
  • Proven track record of scaling operations, driving significant efficiency improvements, and managing complex supply chains in a growth-oriented environment.
  • Deep expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, logistics, and quality control systems.
  • Experience with ERP systems and other operational software platforms.
  • Exceptional leadership, team-building, and change management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost optimization.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work strategically and tactically in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required to other company sites or customer locations.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a company that has undergone significant digital transformation in its operations.
  • Exposure to international manufacturing standards and supply chain practices.
  • Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Project Management (PMP).
  • Experience working in a PE-backed or high-growth startup environment.
