We are looking for Project Manager - Substation for Northern Maharashtra.
About the Role This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, scheduling and direct supervision of the day-to-day project construction activities of the 765 / 400 / 220kV substation with close co-ordination with entire project, cross functional teams and numerous partners at Site.
The following shall be key responsibilities to be delivered. Responsibilities
Develop & implementation of execution strategy on the assigned project(s) and its communication, in consultation with the key stake holder. Responsible for successful implementation of Projects and associate in various activities such as EPC, Testing & Commissioning of substations upto 765kV (implementation of 220kV AIS is a must) and associated Auxiliary systems, FF, DG, UPS / Battery etc.) including Administrative responsibilities. Ensuring the substation construction is being done as per approved D&E, applicable Standards from civil, electrical, C&I, mechanical aspects. Providing strong leadership support to the team based on established project management strategy and best industry practices. Timely follow up with Design & Engineering team to enable prompt release of drawings for construction purpose. To carry out the risk assessment in the project and suggest mitigation plans. To monitor compliance of Statutory and Contractual / Commercial requirements of the project. Ensuring stringent adherence to safety and quality standards / SOP, identifying gaps and taking corrective and preventive actions. Ensure and drive Zero Harm, Zero Defect and First time right culture with all site teams. To Monitor daily progress activities and report to respective Stakeholders. Ensuring project implementation in a timely manner by adhering to Quality, Safety and within Budget. To maintain adequate resources within the planned budget. Responsible for maintaining project records (D&E related) including as built drawings and other data as per business requirements from O&M perspective. Ensure EPC contractors / OEM Vendors are compliant w.r.t. their scope and obligations as per the contract. Prepare scope of work and cost estimates for any additional work envisaged during the construction and shall make efforts to minimize scope creep and cost overrun. Responsible for Material inspections and commercial certifications as per Bill of Materials / BoQ, upkeep and storage at site. Project Risk Identifying, anticipating and managing problems, such as lack or delay of information or materials, errors in drawings, insufficient resources, inclement weather, unexpected issues and events and other problems that threaten the successful implementation of the project. Ability to flag any deviations and seek escalated support from the stakeholders. Responsible for ensuring the enforcement of and compliance with all applicable company policies and procedures and code of ethics & compliances as well as all applicable governmental laws and regulations to include safety and environmental standards and regulations. To communicate with Government authorities on project updates including Force majeure events, to arrange Shutdowns and obtain required approvals during Grid connectivity.
