Overview
The Cloud Virtualization Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day provisioning, installation / configuration, operation, and maintenance of the virtual infrastructure. The Cloud Virtualization Engineering role requires someone who is skilled in continuous delivery, cloud services, process development and automation. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams in operating and innovating the Cloud platform architecture and applications, and is a key participant who drives operating and service excellence supporting internal / external stakeholders and partners. The Cloud Virtualization Engineer will be experienced in supporting multi-vendor virtualization technologies and server hardware environments. The Cloud Virtualization Engineer must display the ability to work in a large scale, fast paced, and cross-functional team environment.
Responsibilities
- Performs system administration of the virtual infrastructure including VMware, Avaya, Cisco, and other technologies
- Provides Tier III support for the virtual infrastructure by investigating and troubleshooting incidents and issues to resolution and providing well documented status updates
- Provides day to day support for the virtual infrastructure including new system delivery, preventative maintenance, and proactive availability
- Monitors and reports performance and capacity
- Manages and ensures that ticket queues are being properly addressed in the time outlined by SLA’s
- Participates in establishing and maintaining policies and procedures
- Adheres to Change Management, and Incident Management policies
- Participates in 24 x 7 On-Call rotation as scheduled

Four year college degree in Information Systems / Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field or equivalent education and experienceExperience of VMWare administrationAt least 2 years in a technical role in a large enterprise environmentExcellent customer service skillsHave interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contactsProfessional appearance and demeanorDesired / Preferred Qualifications :
