We at D.B. Group America are looking for a Customer Service Specialist to join our RDC team based in Mumbai, supporting Ocean Import operations for the U.S. region.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end import shipments, ensuring clear communication and coordination with internal teams, overseas offices, and clients to facilitate smooth and timely execution.

Job Responsibilities :
- Handle day-to-day ocean import operations for the U.S. trade lane
- Communicate effectively with origin offices, carriers, and internal teams
- Coordinate shipment milestones, documentation, and issue resolution
- Update and maintain shipment details in internal systems
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer and internal queries
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and client-specific requirements
- Support billing and documentation accuracy, ensuring timely handovers
- Assist in process improvement initiatives within the RDC team
Requirements :
Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics preferred (Ocean Imports experience is a plus)Strong communication skills (written and verbal in English)Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environmentWillingness to work late shifts aligned with U.S. operationsProficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook) and freight-related systemsTeam player with a problem-solving mindsetPreferred :
Prior experience supporting U.S. operations from an shared service set up.Understanding of shipping documentation like B / L, ISF, Arrival Notices, etc.Hands-on experience with CargoWiseGraduate degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
