Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automation Tester with a strong focus on Playwright to join our dynamic team for a 6-month contract. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using the Playwright framework to ensure the quality and reliability of our web applications. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building robust and maintainable automation solutions, integrating them into CI / CD pipelines, and collaborating effectively with development and QA teams.

Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust automated test scripts using the Playwright framework (with TypeScript or JavaScript).
Develop and implement test automation frameworks from scratch or enhance existing frameworks to improve efficiency and coverage.
Integrate automated test suites into the Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI / CD) pipeline (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
Execute automated test scripts, analyze test results, and identify, log, and track defects in a bug-tracking system (Jira).
Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and manual testers to understand requirements, design testable solutions, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Perform various types of automated testing, including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of test data and test environments for automation purposes.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation scripts, test environments, and test execution.
Participate in code reviews of automation scripts to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Playwright and other relevant automation technologies.
Mentor and guide junior automation testers on best practices and technical aspects of Playwright automation.
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of automation test plans and strategies.
Provide clear and concise reports on automation test execution status and defect analysis to stakeholders.

Technical Skills & Qualifications :

Mandatory : Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in Test Automation.

Mandatory : Proven and in-depth hands-on experience with the Playwright automation framework (with TypeScript or JavaScript).

Strong proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript programming languages.

Experience in designing, developing, and implementing test automation frameworks (e.g., Page Object Model, BDD).

Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Experience integrating automation test suites with CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).

Experience with version control systems (Git).

Familiarity with bug-tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

Strong communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills :

Experience with other automation tools and frameworks (Selenium, Cypress).

Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured).

Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Understanding of accessibility testing principles.

Experience working in Agile development environments.

Contract Duration : 6 Months (Fixed Term Contract)
