Job Title : Test Manager (Playwright)

Location : Bangalore, India

Experience Required : 9+ years

Notice Period : Immediate to 15 days preferred

Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Manager with deep expertise in Playwright automation using JavaScript or TypeScript. The ideal candidate will lead test strategy, planning, and execution efforts while managing a team of 1520 QA professionals. This role demands strong technical acumen in test automation, leadership capabilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Define and implement test strategies aligned with project goals and timelines.
  • Lead automation efforts using Playwright with JavaScript / TypeScript, ensuring scalable and maintainable frameworks.
  • Manage and mentor a QA team of 1520 engineers, overseeing task allocation, performance, and development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Dev, DevOps) to ensure comprehensive test coverage and quality delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, tools, and automation practices.
  • Monitor and report on quality metrics, risks, and test execution status to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Ensure smooth defect management and resolution through structured triaging and follow-up.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Minimum 9 years of experience in software testing, including leadership roles in test
  • management.

  • At least 45 years of hands-on experience with Playwright automation using JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Proven ability to design and execute test strategies and lead large-scale QA initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Agile / Scrum, SDLC, and CI / CD pipelines.
  • Experience managing QA teams of 1520 members, with excellent leadership and mentoring
  • skills.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Familiarity with tools like Selenium, Cypress, Postman, or JMeter.
  • Experience in API testing, performance testing, or security testing.
  • ISTQB or equivalent testing certifications.
  • Exposure to cloud-based test environments and container technologies like Docker / Kubernetes.
