Senior Engineer - Board Support Package

What You'll Do :

• Software Development : Design, develop, and implement robust and efficient embedded software components using C and C++ for real-time operating systems.
• RTOS BSP & Application Development : Lead the development, maintenance, and / or porting of RTOS Board Support Packages (BSPs) and complex embedded applications.
• Driver Development : Design, develop, and troubleshoot device drivers, with mandatory prior experience in Linux Driver development.
• QNX Specialization : Perform architectural design on QNX OS or its various components, demonstrating a deep understanding of the QNX microkernel architecture.
• Configuration & Optimization : Customize and optimize QNX configurations to meet specific project requirements related to performance, memory footprint, and real-time responsiveness.
• Troubleshooting : Expertly troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to QNX integration, configuration, and real-time behavior.
• System Integration : Collaborate with hardware teams and other software engineers to ensure seamless integration of embedded software with hardware.
• Code Quality : Ensure adherence to coding standards, conduct thorough code reviews, and maintain high code quality and testability.
• Problem Solving : Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex embedded system Skills & Qualifications :
• Experience : 4+ years of professional software development experience in a hands-on individual contributor role within embedded systems.
• Programming Languages : Strong software development skills using C and C++.
• RTOS Expertise : Proven experience developing, maintaining, and / or porting RTOS BSP and Applications.
• Driver Development : Prior experience in driver development is Mandatory, with a strong focus on Linux Driver development.
• QNX Expertise : Deep expertise and hands-on experience with QNX OS, including architectural design experience on QNX or its components.
• QNX Configuration : Ability to customize and optimize QNX configurations to meet specific project requirements.
• Troubleshooting : Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to QNX integration and configuration.
• Embedded Systems : Good understanding of embedded system concepts, hardware-software interaction, and real-time Skills (Nice-to-Have) :
• Experience with other RTOS platforms (e.g., FreeRTOS, VxWorks).
• Familiarity with industry-specific standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 26262 for automotive, DO-178C for avionics).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
• Proficiency with debugging tools (e.g., JTAG, GDB).
• Knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP / IP, CAN, Ethernet).
• Familiarity with build systems (e.g., Make, CMake).
