The Role :

As a Credentialed Diabetes Nurse Educator, you’ll provide expert, evidence-based care, prevention, and education to Aboriginal clients and their families. With remote travel integral to the position, you’ll deliver services across Congress clinics in Alice Springs and five remote communities, all within a strong clinical governance framework.

The Team :

You’ll work alongside a culturally diverse, multidisciplinary team of health professionals, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, GPs, RNs, allied health workers and community liaisons; providing holistic and culturally safe care that makes a difference every day.

Your Contribution :

Deliver safe and effective clinical care and diabetes education

Work collaboratively across teams and service boundaries

Support resource development and community health promotion

Help train and support other healthcare professionals

Travel to remote clinics as needed

What We’re Looking For :

Registered Nurse with AHPRA and at least 3 years’ experience in chronic disease / primary health care

Credentialed with the Australian Diabetes Educators Association

Cross-cultural communication skills and deep respect for Aboriginal communities

Ability to plan, deliver, and evaluate health education programs

Willingness and ability to travel to remote locations

Current NT Manual Drivers licence
