Team Member - GDGC

Liaise with BU process owners to ascertain impact on configuration elements and master data due to process changes; Champion Master Data Management focusing on business benefits, fostering the goal of data re-use, and articulates the strategic significance of consistent, accurate and reliable information to executives and associates.

Effectively communicate changes to systems and / or master data policy to all affected parties and facilitate development of communication plans, implementation plans, etc. when required.

Accountable for documenting the business rules related to SAP configuration and master data (e.g. quality & audit requirements, security, privacy, history).

Address issues of master data definition, metadata management, data standards and data migration including data profiling, validation, clean-up and remediation, and source to target mapping, monitors health of MDM Golden Client Registry to keep check on maintenance of mapping of respective data in individual SAP servers.

Coordinate with Data Stewards for the purpose of creation, review, and maintenance of data within the SAP MDG platform to ensure completeness and adherence to published policies & standards, processes & guidelines related to vendor master, publish vendor master data quality dashboard periodically.

Resolve business audit queries and take preventive and corrective action for any issues, Prepare plan for action required from team, keep track of tasks to be completed and complete it within timelines.

Define match, merge, unique identification, and golden record rules data management; Identify areas for data quality improvement and help to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies, Propose and direct initiatives as necessary for periodic data cleansing and maintenance projects.

Participate / contribute to execution of MDM initiatives, provide status updates of various ongoing MDM related projects; Schedule regular master data governance meetings of Data Steward with BU Domain Guardians, to review topics of concern, discuss process improvement opportunities and communicate items of interest.

As chair of the MDM Guardianship Committee, is responsible for representing vendor master team in the Governance Council (maintain function specific dashboard and attend Governance Council meetings as needed).
