SigniTeq - Mainframe Developer

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Mainframe developer with 6-8 years of overall experience and a minimum of 3 years of recent, hands-on experience in application / production support within a Mainframe environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in COBOL, DB2, JCL, and VSAM, coupled with expertise in Unix and a solid understanding of ITSM processes. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of critical mainframe applications, actively participating in incident resolution, change management, and problem management, and effectively communicating with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide expert-level application and production support for critical mainframe systems and applications.
• Lead the troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution of production incidents, issues, and system failures in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing downtime and impact.
• Utilize strong debugging skills to diagnose issues effectively, leveraging abend codes, dumps, and logs.
• Adhere strictly to ITSM Incident Management processes, ensuring timely escalation, communication, and resolution.
• Leverage deep proficiency in Mainframe technologies, including COBOL for program analysis and

modification, DB2 for database operations, JCL for job control and execution, and VSAM for file management.
