The Talent Partner plays a crucial role in supporting the Pratt & Whitney India & China organization by developing and executing talent strategies. This includes focusing on succession planning, employee retention, and engagement.
Our Talent Partners are customer-focused, collaborative, innovative and driven, build relationships and act as a thought leader on talent and organizational strategy. This role reports to the Associate Director, Talent Management and is responsible for partnering with the Pratt & Whitney India & China business and HR leaders, as well as other Communities of Expertise across P&W.
The position is hybrid, with flexible hours , and ensure to be available onsite as per requirement.
What will your day-to-day look like??
- Delivers talent processes aligned with Pratt & Whitney’s business and global talent strategies.
- Works with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders to gain insight into short- and long-term business needs and current talent challenges.
- Analyzes and provides feedback / recommendations regarding talent challenges and information gained in meetings such as Talent Councils and HR staff meetings, as well as provide consultative support for future strategies and programs.
- Partner with HR Communities of Expertise including Learning & Development, Total Rewards, Organizational Effectiveness, Culture, Change, and Talent Acquisition on projects related, but not limited to, attracting, and retaining talent, employee engagement and surveys, recognition, as well as employee well-being.
- Ad-hoc global initiatives that align with site, language and government obligations
Talent Advancement / Succession Planning
Actively advocates for internal talent advancement opportunities and promotes talent advancement activities within the businesses as well as educates the organization where needed.Runs internal searches and prepares lists of potential internal candidates and initiates discussions with leaders in Talent Councils and / or Talent Reviews.Acts as an internal talent ambassador and change agent to facilitate cross-organizational moves.Supports managers and HR Business Partners in identifying career and development activities for employees.Contributes to the development and supports the execution of advancement initiatives on a local level.Shares latest local trends; provides input and feedback to continuously improve processes & programs.Learning and Development
Partners with Learning and Development global team and supplier to implement learning and development strategies and programs.Act as the L&D lead for P&WC by providing oversight to the L&D contract lead that supports the organization.Supports L&D material translations on an ad-hoc basis, in partnership with an external translation vendor.What do you need to be successful?
A University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant talent management experience, or, an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of relevant talent management experienceProven ability to effectively communicate (both written and verbal) with individuals at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.Demonstrated experience presenting complex information (including data and analysis) to senior leadership in a clear, concise, and impactful manner.Experience working and collaborating with creative and innovative teamsExposure to India and China markets is an added advantageOrganizational, problem-solving, adaptability and analytical skills with the ability to make timely decisionsCustomer-oriented focusAbility to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environmentAbility to establish and nurture beneficial business relationshipsSelf-motivated with a willingness to take initiative and solve complex problems
