  • Remuneration :  $134,910 to $160,222 pa. (LEVB) (full-time equivalent) (inclusive $114,000 to $135,390 pa (full-time equivalent), 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
  • Location :  Kelvin Grove
  • Open to : Current staff members of QUT who have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the fixed-term appointment.   • Who are we looking for?

    We are seeking a Research Fellow to join the School of Nursing, Faculty of Health.

    The Research Fellow (Level B) has responsibilities relating to coordinating existing child and youth cancer and palliative care research within the Cancer & Palliative Outcomes Centre (CPC), for growing their own program of research, and for provision of strategic advice to the Research Program Lead, Child and Youth Cancer and Palliative Care and the CPC research teams The Research Fellow will conduct and contribute to the current suite of research projects, whilst systematically developing their program of complementary cancer research.

    • What you need to succeed

    • Completion of a doctorate or PhD qualification and / or relevant research experience applicable to cancer related health services research in children, adolescents and young adults.
    • Demonstrated experience in the conduct of relevant externally funded research, including project design, implementation, analysis and administration, with published outcomes.
    • Demonstrated high-level verbal and written communication skills, including conference papers, contributions to journal publications, and presentations of findings to diverse audiences.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to connect and collaborate with colleagues in a team environment, internal and external stakeholders, and the wider research community.
    • Demonstrated track record of scholarly achievement in research related to childhood, adolescent and young adult cancer control and health services implementation.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of statistical packages with experience in the collection, analysis and reporting on data from health services, clinical or field trials.
