The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees in India ensuring compliance with all statutory regulations and company policies. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining payroll data integrity responding to employee queries and collaborating with various internal departments and external vendors. This is a full-time hybrid position based out of our Gurugram office and reports to the Director of Payroll.
Shift Time : 2 : 00pm - 10 : 30pm IST (Cabs will be provided)
You will :
- Payroll Processing :
- Process end-to-end monthly payroll & equity payroll for all APAC and EMEA-based employees ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Manage new hires terminations transfers and other employee status changes affecting payroll.
- Reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process payroll reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Compliance and Reporting :
- Ensure compliance with all payroll laws regulations and statutory requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in payroll legislation and advise on necessary adjustments.
- Assist with internal and external payroll audits.
- Employee Support :
- Respond to employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner providing clear and accurate information.
- Data Management and Reconciliation :
- Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records and employee data.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and general ledger entries.
- Prepare payroll-related journal entries.
- Collaboration and Improvement :
- Collaborate with HR Finance and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
- Work with external payroll vendors and statutory bodies.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
- Global Payroll Support (as needed) :
- Opportunity to assist with payroll processing for other global entities gaining exposure to diverse international payroll practices.
You have :
A Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or a related field.3-5 years of experience in payroll administration with a strong focus on India payroll.Experience with a global organization is a plus.In-depth knowledge of India payroll laws tax regulations and statutory compliances (PF ESI TDS Professional Tax etc.).Proficiency in payroll & accounting software / systems ( Workday Neeyamo Netsuite).Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs pivot tables data analysis).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Required Experience :
