Quality Assurance Engineer (Odoo Projects)

Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer with strong functional & technical understanding of Odoo ERP workflows . You will be responsible for testing custom Odoo developments, integrations, and ensuring overall platform stability across modules such as Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, Manufacturing, CRM, etc.

Key Responsibilities

Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Odoo modules (standard and custom).

Perform functional, UI, regression, integration, and performance testing .

Verify custom modules, workflows, automated actions, scheduled jobs, and third-party integrations .

Validate data migration, backups, and system reliability.

Identify bugs, document defects using tracking tools (Jira / Trello), and work with developers to ensure closure.

Participate in requirement analysis, provide QA inputs to improve solution quality.

Support UAT with clients, create user documentation & test reports .

Ensure best practices for testing in an Odoo environment .

Help build automated testing scripts (optional) .

Job Requirements

Very strong English communication — must be able to write professional test reports and communicate issues clearly with clients and development teams.

Hands-on testing experience in Odoo (Minimum v14+).

Strong understanding of Odoo functional workflows (any domain—ERP, inventory, CRM, accounting, PMS, etc.).

Knowledge of software testing lifecycle, SDLC, and Agile workflows .

Excellent ability to write clear test cases and documentation .

Experience with Postman / API testing , SQL basics, and log analysis.

Good communication skills (to interact with business and technical teams).

Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.

Good to Have

Experience with automation tools (like Selenium, Robot Framework, Odoo Pylint).

Knowledge of Python / Odoo ORM (basic debugging skills).

Exposure to Docker environments, multi-instance testing, staging / production release cycles .

ISTQB certification.

Previous ERP / SAAS testing experience .
