Job Description
This role is primarily accountable for the planning of raw materials (Base Oils, Additives, Chemicals, and Packaging Materials) for the organization's manufacturing locations. The incumbent will drive resilient and efficient supply-side operations by ensuring high raw material availability and optimized inventory levels - directly supporting customer service and working capital objectives.
The position focuses on establishing robust planning processes, overseeing execution, and leading a team to deliver best-in-class supply performance.
Key Deliverables :
1. Raw Material Planning & Process Excellence
Ensure planning processes are robust, dynamic, and reflective of real business conditions.
Deliver accurate RM purchase and distribution plans within defined timelines and monitor execution.
Proactively highlight supply challenges and implement corrective actions to ensure continuity.
2. Working Capital & Inventory Optimization
Define and manage safety stock levels to achieve target service levels.
Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual working capital objectives in line with business cash flow targets.
Minimize SLOB (Slow Moving and Obsolete) inventory through accurate forecasting, schedule management, and periodic safety stock review.
3. Supply Continuity & Crisis Management
Lead or participate in incident management teams (IMTs) and crisis forums to address supply disruptions and implement mitigation measures.
Support strategic sourcing initiatives by developing long-term executable plans that balance cost efficiency and supply security.
4. Efficiency & Cost Leadership
Drive cost reduction initiatives through effective BOM management, process improvements, and resource optimization.
Ensure sourcing decisions maintain transparency in balancing cost and cash trade-offs.
Optimize use of company assets - including inventories and storage capacities - in alignment with business strategy.
5. Strategic & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and marketing teams to enable effective production scheduling and new product introductions (NPI).
Joint accountability for factory schedule adherence (FSA), inventory health, and NPI execution.
Support value engineering and supply-side capability enhancement projects.
6. Data Accuracy & Capability Development
Own and maintain accurate master data management for supply planning.
Collaborate with the Country Planning Manager and leadership to build long-term planning capability and strengthen team competencies
