Description : About the Role :
We are seeking a Salesforce CPQ Lead with strong technical depth and hands-on expertise in architecting and delivering Salesforce CPQ (Configure-Price-Quote) solutions.
This role involves leading end-to-end CPQ implementations covering requirement discovery, design, configuration, integration, and deployment across enterprise clients.
The ideal candidate will combine business acumen with deep technical proficiency, ensuring scalable and high-performance CPQ solutions that streamline quoting and sales operations.
This is a leadership role that demands strong collaboration, cross-functional communication, and the ability to translate business requirements into well-architected Salesforce CPQ solutions aligned with best practices.
Key Responsibilities :
Solution Architecture & Design :
- Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of Salesforce CPQ solutions tailored to client business processes.
- Translate complex pricing, quoting, and approval requirements into scalable CPQ architectures.
- Design robust data models, product structures, discounting strategies, approval workflows, and guided selling configurations.
- Evaluate and implement Salesforce CPQ add-ons such as Billing, Revenue Cloud, or Partner Community integration where applicable.
Project Delivery & Execution :
Manage full project lifecyclediscovery, design, development, testing, deployment, and hypercare.Collaborate with Salesforce developers, integration teams, architects, and QA engineers to ensure cohesive delivery.Oversee technical documentation including solution blueprints, configuration guides, and user manuals.Drive system optimization, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices.Leadership & Collaboration :
Serve as the primary CPQ subject matter expert within the project, providing technical direction and mentorship to consultants and administrators.Partner with business stakeholders, sales operations, and finance teams to identify pain points and deliver automation-driven solutions.Conduct design review sessions and ensure high-quality deliverables in alignment with enterprise architecture standards.Governance & Continuous Improvement :
Implement governance, change management, and version control processes across environments.Conduct regular system audits to maintain data accuracy, system health, and configuration integrity.Recommend and apply process enhancements, automation improvements, and CPQ optimization strategies.Required Skills & Qualifications :
7 - 10 years of total Salesforce experience, including 4 to 5 years dedicated to Salesforce CPQ solution delivery.Deep expertise in Salesforce CPQ components Product Rules, Price Rules, Discounting, Bundles, Quote Templates, Renewal and Amendment processes.Strong understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, with proven experience in integration design (REST / SOAP APIs, middleware, ETL tools).Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, Validation Rules, and Process Builder for extending CPQ functionality.Experience leading requirement discovery sessions, solution workshops, and stakeholder communications.Hands-on experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies and managing multiple client implementations simultaneously.Salesforce CPQ Specialist or Advanced Specialist Certification preferred.Excellent analytical, communication, and client-facing skills, with a proven record of remote team collaboration.(ref : hirist.tech)
