The Role

We’re looking for a Founding Full Stack Engineer (6+ years of experience) to help build the core of iksa.ai’s platform. This is one of our earliest technical hires, someone who can balance hands-on engineering with strategic architectural thinking.

You’ll work directly with our clinical and product teams to design scalable systems, craft clean APIs, and bring AI-powered clinical workflows to life. More than anything, you’ll shape the technical DNA of a product that’s already proving its impact in real-world healthcare.

What You’ll Do

As a founding engineer, you’ll be deeply involved in building iksa.ai’s core platform, the connective tissue between healthcare data, AI, and clinical workflows. You’ll own end-to-end development of major components at its 0 to 1 and 1 to 10 product journey, so it is critical to have fair knowledge on the overall operations

Platform Architecture & Backend Systems

Design and implement microservices and APIs using Python (FastAPI / Flask) and Node.js , enabling interoperability between EHRs, labs, and other data systems.

Build secure, high-throughput data pipelines that ingest and process sensitive healthcare data in real time.

Develop data models and schemas optimized for healthcare data complexity (patients, providers, outcomes, interventions).

Integrate AI services and decision engines safely into production environments, ensuring reliability and auditability.

Data & Intelligence Layer

Work with MongoDB and Neo4j to structure both transactional and relational clinical data.

Build proprietary model knowledge graphs that link patients, diagnoses, and interventions for driven engagement.

Contribute to the development of AI-powered automation , such as triage routing, clinical documentation, or alert systems.

Security, Compliance & Reliability

Design infrastructure that complies with HIPAA , GDPR , and ISO 27001 standards.

Implement end-to-end encryption , access control , and data auditing features.

Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for mission-critical systems in AWS / Azure environments.

Technical Leadership & Culture

Make foundational decisions about architecture, tools, and development practices .

Establish code quality standards , testing pipelines, and CI / CD workflows.

Collaborate directly with founders and domain experts to define the technical roadmap .

Help build and mentor the next generation of the engineering team as we grow.
