Job Description
We’re currently recruiting two experienced procurement professionals to join a busy and collaborative local government team. These contract roles are available at both the Procurement Officer (Level 5 / 6) and Senior Procurement Officer (Level 7) level, depending on your experience and qualifications.
About the Opportunities :
You’ll be involved in delivering a range of procurement and contract services, supporting key departments and stakeholders across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include :
Running low to high-risk procurement and tender processes
Advising on contract planning, development, and renewal strategies
Supporting compliance, probity, and record-keeping requirements
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to meet procurement objectives
Contributing to continuous improvement and procurement best practices
What We’re Looking For :
Procurement experience within local / state / federal government is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of procurement policies and contract management practices
High attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and stakeholder focus
Relevant qualifications in procurement, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Pay Range :
Procurement Officer (Level 5 / 6) : $40–$44 per hour + Super
Senior Procurement Officer (Level 7) : $65-70 per hour + Super
Placement will depend on experience and suitability for each role.
