Responsibilities and Tasks :
You will work regularly with Micron’s Business Units to ensure solutions meet or exceed business requirements. You will be encouraged to suggest, promote, and leverage published standards to minimize environment complexity and ensure regulatory as well as license compliance. You will have the opportunity to travel to other Micron sites as well as technology conferences and trainings.
As part of your responsibilities you will be required to :
- Provide day to day technology directions in the area of Storage and Linux environment.
- Maintain global collaboration with the other world wide HPC team members.
- Day to day operational support

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) :
Daily monitoring and sanity checking of storage infrastructureHelp tune performance and ensure high availability of the storage nodesCarry out daily storage management tasks and assist with engineering team requests and needsBuild, set up, and deploy the new storage devices periodicallyDesign and develop storage infrastructure monitoring tools help in forecasting the future problemsRespond to performance issues identified by alerting and other reporting incidentsEvaluate and implement new storage technologies time to time.Work closely with colleagues specializing in Linux, LSF, and other high-performance computing technologies within the teamRecommends and works with the Solution and Enterprise Architect on system or architectural changes when needed to improve performance, high availability, scalability, or propose innovative technologies.Ensures architectural consistency and provides technical direction through roadmap process, knowledge management.Creating all the necessary documentation for any changes in the environment or innovative technology deployments as reference architecture for the global operation team.Qualifications and Experience :
Proven experience handling enterprise grade NetApp and Isilon storage clusters.Strong knowledge on storage technologies, concepts and architecture.Knowledge of storage hardware architecturesExperience working in a distributed file systems environmentWork on performance analysis and solvingExperience with data storage applications and cloud-based file systemsExperience on backup and data recovery strategiesStrong Linux administration skills.Familiarity with VMWare technologies and job management platforms is beneficialWorks optimally with a minimal mentorship and supportGood analytical skills and strong problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a multifaceted, fast-faced work environmentStays up-to-date on new technologies to ensure they offer the latest solutions to their clientsBackground in a semiconductor industry and HPC environment is an asset.Education :
or degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, other technical fields or equivalent work experience.
