Job Description – Manager (Direct Tax)

We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager (Direct Tax) for our client. This role offers the opportunity to work across Corporate Taxation, Transfer Pricing, Tax Planning, and US Tax Reporting while collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

• Corporate Taxation : Managing annual filing of tax returns and tax audit. Provide advisory on day-to-day basis from compliance and tax planning perspective. Managing assessment proceedings and support in litigation management.
• Transfer Pricing : Coordination for TP study & certification, periodic review of TP margins, internal transfer pricing documentation, advising on structuring of arrangements and TP assessments and litigation.
• Tax planning and structuring : Exploring and executing tax planning options to optimize the Group's effective tax rate.
• Tax accounting, audit and risk assessment : Managing tax accounting including deferred tax adjustments and budgeting. Working closely with statutory auditors for direct tax related matters. Periodic risk assessment of open tax matters and adjustments in tax provisioning.
• US Tax accounting and reporting : Review of the tax positions adopted from ASC 740 perspective (FIN 48) and analyzes the need for FIN 48 reserve and quantify the same. SoX reporting and compliance.
• Change management : Updating the Key management & finance team on the recent developments and changes in the laws, Periodic trainings of finance teams to ensure strict compliance of direct tax laws.
• WHT Compliances : Reviewing and managing the WHT compliances to ensure strict compliance, day-to-day advisory on WHT related matters.
