Position Summary
A prestigious private healthcare institution in the Caribbean is seeking a skilled Oncologist to join its expanding multidisciplinary cancer care team. The role involves comprehensive diagnosis, staging, and management of solid and hematologic malignancies using the latest diagnostic and therapeutic technologies. Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, stage, and treat various types of cancer using chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormonal treatments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary tumor board.
- Provide compassionate patient care and education throughout the diagnostic and treatment journey.
- Supervise and coordinate outpatient oncology clinics and inpatient consultations.
- Work closely with radiologists and pathologists to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic assessments.
- Participate in clinical audits, research initiatives, and quality improvement programs.
- Maintain thorough and accurate patient documentation in compliance with institutional standards.
- Contribute to continuous medical education and mentor junior medical staff where applicable.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in oncology and apply evidence-based treatment protocols.
- Promote awareness and education on cancer prevention and early detection programs.
Qualifications
MD / DNB / DM / MS in Oncology, Medical Oncology, or related specialty from a recognized institution.Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialization experience in oncology practice.Valid medical license to practice (eligibility for local registration preferred).Skills & Competencies
