Responsibilities :
- Collaborate and contribute to the formation of value stream strategy and priorities and build cross-functional consensus around vision at the product level.
- Tirelessly challenge the status quo with bold problem-solving skills
- Highlight and communicate stories of design partnership at the product level through case studies.
- Tell the powerful narrative of the customer and / or client to build empathy
- Collaborate, shape and influence design philosophy, best practices and principals that unifies the design approach across teams
- Introduce new technologies to augment product design solutions for competitive business advantage
- Develop and implement effective retention and engagement strategies to ensure teams are healthy, highly motivated and enjoy peak morale
- Develop, analyze, track and report the design workflow metrics and seek new ways of working to improve team performance, design cycles, and outcomes
- Advocate a strong point of view to continually raise the bar on quality across the product overall, influencing how other functions apply rigor to deployed experiences.
- Confidently and rapidly respond to change with a tangible action plan
- Navigate and clear any roadblocks that hinders team progress
- Drive design-led projects, in alignment with business strategy and product lifecycle stage.
- Pitch relevant opportunities for the business, which are grounded in business strategy and market dynamics.
- Identify and facilitate opportunities for Product Design Leads and Senior Product Designers to influence business and executive leaders.
- Shift hiring practices to ensure you level up the team and expectations.
- Demonstrate active listening, effectively give and receive constructive feedback to nurture individual talent through coaching and performance management
- Drive a design perspective in business development activities, including proposals, presentations, demos and pitches
- Continuously evaluate and make recommendations to improve the product design process and systems
- Create program level training for onboarding, workshop facilitation, design thinking, communication skills, storytelling and articulating design in presentations.
Required Qualifications :
The ideal candidate will have a background in design and project management, as well as excellent communication, organizational, and people management skills.
