Job descriptionDispense prescribed medications accurately, including eye drops, ointments, and ophthalmic tablets. Provide proper instructions to patients on dosage, usage, and storage of medications. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ophthalmic drugs, surgical packs, and post-operative medications. Manage and monitor inventory levels, placing timely orders to avoid stockouts. Ensure proper storage of medicines as per guidelines (e.g., cold chain maintenance). Check for expired or near-expiry stock and dispose of them as per protocol. Cross-check prescriptions for accuracy and report any discrepancies to doctors. Maintain daily sales and stock registers as per hospital and regulatory norms. Support the surgical team with timely availability of OT medicines and consumables. Ensure compliance with NABH, pharmacy rules, and drug control regulations. Assist in audits, quality checks, and maintaining pharmacy documentation.
