Integration Engineer – API Connect and Kong

Must Have Skills : IBM API Connect, Data power, Developer Portal & Open shift / Kubernetes, Kong API GW, Lua, Swagger (OAS), GitHub

Good to Have Skills : Any Open source API Gateway, IBM App Connect & MQ

Key & Technical Experience :

Broad knowledge of web security standards relating to APIs OAuth, SSL, CORS, JWT, etc
Ability to understand infrastructure design documents and be able to use them to develop necessary policies, scripts and code on DataPower
Extensive coding experience with either Java / Spring or Nodejs
Design and implement API gateway solutions using Kong Gateway.
Develop custom plugins using Lua to extend Kong functionality.
Responsible for developing API swagger from API define and mapping specifications.
Develop and Troubleshoot message translation related issues while communicating with backend JSON to XML & XML to JSON ,
Understanding of differences between SOA and API design
At least 3 years of experience in IBM API Connect
At least 3 years of experience in Kong.
At least 3 years of experience in software development life cycle
At least 3 years of experience with IBM DataPower
Extensive experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
Experienced in Kubernetes platform
Experience with Openshift, AWS / Azure Cloud Infrastructures is good to have.
Configure and manage routing, authentication, rate limiting, logging, and monitoring policies.
Integrate Kong with identity providers (OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect).
Ability to understand infrastructure design documents and be able to use them to develop necessary policies, scripts and code.

Good to Have :

Hand-on experience in installing and configuring Kong API Gateway and integrating with existing APIs.

Experience working on Kong Ingress with Kubernetes and configurations.

Nice to have Drupal development knowledge

Good Understanding of platform to monitor and Debug any platform or application issues.

Experience with Application Security considerations; including knowledge of Industry standards and trends.

Must have experience of Banking, SOA Delivery methodology

Contributed to best approach strategies for SOA implementation based on Service Analysis.

Prepare technical designs documents for multiple projects.

Involved in inception / strengthening of SOA practice.

Good Understanding in Devops
