Job description

Clinical & Surgical Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of urological and uro-oncology patients
Perform advanced urological surgeries, including
TURBT, TURP
Nephrectomy, partial nephrectomy
Radical prostatectomy
Radical cystectomy
Ureteric reconstruction, ureterorenoscopy
Management of uro-oncology cases (kidney, bladder, prostate, testicular cancers).
Manage minimally invasive / laparoscopic and endourological procedures
Provide peri-operative care, post-operative follow-up, and long-term cancer surveillance

Patient Care & Counselling

Ensure high standards of patient safety, compassionate communication, and ethical medical practice

Provide patient and family counselling on diagnosis, treatment plan, prognosis, and follow-up care

Participate in Tumor Board discussions and multidisciplinary care planning.

Clinical Governance & Documentation

Maintain accurate medical records as per hospital protocols (EMR)

Ensure adherence to NABH standards, infection control, safety guidelines, and clinical audits.

Participate in morbidity & mortality meetings, clinical review meetings, and quality improvement initiatives

Collaborative & Administrative Responsibilities

Work closely with Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Pathology, and Nursing teams

Participate in OPD, IPD, emergency calls, and OT schedules as assigned

Contribute to hospital outreach programs, CMEs, awareness camps, and brand-building activities

Support protocol development, clinical pathways, and patient education materials

Qualifications

Qualification : MBBS, MS / DNB (General Surgery) & MCh / DNB Urology from reputed institute.

Fellowship in Uro-Oncology preferred (national or international).
