Position Purpose
Sustainalytics is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Associate to support development of technical tools that drive quality assurance across ESG metric products. The Quality Assurance Specialist will be part of Sustainalytics’ Quantitative Data Team (QDT), which operates within Sustainalytics’ ESG research department. The team is responsible for collecting ESG metrics. Clients use metrics data, like carbon emissions, water, waste etc for reporting purposes.
The ideal candidate would be able to set up quality assurance checks, have an ability to retrieve and manipulate large data sets and be responsible for the quality of our data to meet customer standards. The candidate will work in close collaboration with research managers, product managers, content experts, and various technical and research teams to support our product strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Develops and implements tools to drive quality and efficiency of research;
Creates quality reports and proactively identifies improvement actions;
Supports the execution of estimation models for new product requirements and / or data gaps;
Manage ETL, data collection and translated into useable information.
Assesses work practices, processes, and tools, conducting regular scans for continuous service quality improvement;
Qualifications
3-5+ Years of experience in the areas of Data Analysis,, ETL, develop technical tools using Python, SQL , VBA etc
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline;
High analytical skills and creative, problem-solving attitude;
Well organized with the ability to work cross-functionally with ease and manage competing interests;
Experience with DML (data manipulation language) and / or PostgreSQL
Strong skills in data visualizations and analytics tools like Power BI, Python;
Strong quantitative data analytical skills and experience with data analysis;
Proficiency in the use of quality and process improvement tools and techniques; a certification is considered an asset;
Meticulous and attentive to detail;
Adaptable and autonomous with a quality driven mindset;
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
