As a Design Manager at Delhivery, you will play a pivotal role in shaping both our products and our people. You will be a player-coach, balancing hands-on design contributions with the leadership and mentorship of a team of talented designers. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring product success, driving high-quality design, and fostering a collaborative environment. You will serve as the bridge between design, business, and engineering, ensuring our solutions are not only user-centric but also scalable and impactful.
What You'll Do
- Lead and Mentor : Guide and mentor a team of designers to ensure their holistic growth and development, while also being responsible for overall team performance, resource allocation, and project prioritization.
- Drive Design Excellence : Contribute individually to high-level design decisions and ensure the team consistently delivers high-quality design artifacts such as mockups, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Validate Solutions : Lead and conduct usability testing to quickly validate new experiences, using both quantitative and qualitative data to drive design decisions and measure success.
- Collaborate Strategically : Work closely with cross-functional teams including research, product, business, and engineering to build scalable solutions that align with the company's goals and product vision.
- Contribute Individually : Lead key projects across multiple product lines and design holistic solutions that ensure benchmark in quality and outcomes.
What You'll Bring
Required Skills & Experience :
Experience : 9-11+ years of strong design experience and proven track record in product design, ideally with exposure to B2B or B2C product organisation.Portfolio : A robust portfolio showcasing strong UX / UI design skills, curiosity, empathy, and business acumen.Customer-Centricity : Ability to integrate customer feedback and research into the design process to drive business understanding.Collaboration & Leadership : Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders, and leading design projects or verticals with multiple designers. Experience in managing designers is a bonus.Adaptability & Vision : Aptitude for quickly incorporating feedback, ensuring UI scalability, and seamlessly integrating designs with existing product architecture.Strategic Impact : A strong desire to align design initiatives with company goals, team objectives, and the overarching product vision.Leadership : A well rounded design leader, setting up benchmarks and seen as a role model for quality and excellence.Communication & Articulation : Demonstrates exceptional communication and linguistic proficiency, articulating thoughts and ideas with clarity.
