Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Sourcing Specialist will be aligned to Cargill’s Animal Nutrition and Health business in India, support and execute new sourcing strategies to support businesses and functions. This position is pivotal in planning, sourcing and managing micro ingredients procurement and coordination across multiple functions and geographies.

In this role, you will be responsible for supplier evaluations, contract negotiations, managing procurement processes, and ensuring efficient and ethical sourcing of raw materials. Day-to day tasks will include analysing market trends, developing purchase strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Build and foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities

• Micro ingredients Sourcing and planning for Poultry & Dairy Nutrition / Feed : Involves external stakeholder management and compliance with sourcing, vendor development protocols and supporting vendor audits.
• Managing 100+ Specialty Ingredients : Sourcing and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors to meet the demand, strong skills for vendor development and sourcing on Amino acids, Minerals, Chemicals, Excipients, Herbal extracts, etc.
• This role demands deep understanding of micro ingredients, import processes and logistics.
• Identify Cost Saving Strategies through negotiation and implementation.
• Coordination with Internal stakeholders - Finance, Quality, Formulations, Marketing, Plant and Commercial Teams and externally with suppliers and customers.
• Help identify business needs, gather requirements and define scope and objectives to make business decisions.
• Any other duties assigned.
