Sr. Specialist – Business Analyst serves as a crucial link between HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) and the HR IT team. This role is responsible for understanding and translating HR business needs into system solutions, ensuring the Workday platform supports HR initiatives effectively. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HR processes and Workday configuration, with the ability to communicate technical requirements to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Act as the primary point of contact between HR COEs and the HR IT team.
  • Facilitate clear communication and understanding between business and technical teams.
  • Collaborate with HR COEs to understand business needs and processes.
  • Document detailed business requirements and system specifications.
  • Configure and maintain Workday modules to meet business requirements.
  • Ensure Workday functionality aligns with HR policies and compliance standards.
  • Lead or participate in HR IT projects, including new implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Ensure data integrity within the Workday system.
  • Create and execute test plans for Workday configurations and enhancements.
  • Conduct functional testing of the implementation on both Workday and the HR client side.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with HR COEs to ensure system changes meet business needs.
  • Generate and analyze reports to support HR decision-making and strategy.
  • 3+ years’ experience supporting IT or HR applications; experience supporting Service N and / or Workday is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human esources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with project delivery (full lifecycle); agile experience is a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and planning skills
  • Proven ability to document, assess and improve end-to-end business processes
  • Strong communication skills and relationship building with leadership, peers, business clients, shared services teams and vendors
  • Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Works on complex projects of large scope
  • Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives
  • Completes work independently receives general guidance on new projects
  • Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives
