Job location : Bangalore About the Role : As the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the engineering workforce in the organization. This role involves strategic planning, team management, project execution, collaboration with cross-functional teams in order to deliver the outcomes to achieve the company's key objectives. The Director of Engineering plays a critical role in driving innovation, product development, and maintaining the technical excellence of the company. This role is reporting to the Vice President of Engineering. About You :

• 15+ years of experience in software engineering building software products, with at least 5 years in people management
• Must have the right combination of technology experience and people management
• Must have ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams such as the Product Management, Program management, UX and Analytics teams
• Must have excellent communication skills – both written and verbal, and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.
• Experience in working with peers, stakeholders and partners across different geographies and time zones
• Ability to translate highly complex technical requirements into easily digestible and actionable plans
• Experience preparing & delivering executive level presentations to business and technology audiences
• Ability to lead and manage technical individual contributors across all levels with the ability to foster open communications across the organisation
• Ability to motivate direct and indirect reports to deliver superior results.
• Ability to provide functional and directional guidance to engineers and recommend policy or strategic direction changes to management.
• Experience in leading development projects using agile methodologies
• Experience with Cloud native and MERN stack would be essential
• Experience in the Commerce domain will be a plus.
