About the role and team
We have a new opportunity for a Bids & Pursuits Advisor to join our growing national Business Development, Marketing & Communications (BDM&C) team.
The BDM&C section is a national team, comprising specialists across all areas of professional services BD, marketing and comms, including client engagement, branding and design, bid management, copywriting, event strategy and planning, digital marketing and media relations.
This role will support the Bids & Pursuits Manager on all bids and pursuits at Hall & Wilcox, including tenders, capability statements, proposals and other pitch documents and presentations.
This role can be based across any of our office locations, including Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Newcastle, Adelaide, Canberra and Darwin.
You will be responsible for :
- tracking pipeline activities, bid progress, win / loss trends and providing insights and reporting to Senior Manager and Manager, as requested;
- end-to-end process management of the tenders and proposals that are allocated to you;
- working with the Bids & Pursuits Manager to develop win themes and communicating these themes to the tender team;
- undergoing a Bid / No-Bid process, as appropriate;
- drafting, editing and proofing bid submissions, ensuring compliance and arranging submission;
- leading and implementing timeline process with tender team, including instructing everyone that is required to input in the tender;
- providing coaching and mentoring to partners and tender teams for 'beauty parade presentations' and any material required;
- conducting debriefs on submissions;
- transferring information collected during tender process to central documents (Content Library, CRM) and arranging for updating of CVs, website, etc. Award / Directory submissions;
- working with the Communications and BD & Marketing teams on firm award and international directory submissions including liaising with relevant partners and corporate services teams;
- updating credentials and information collected during submission process on profiles, website, CVs and the CRM;
- updating profiles, website and CVs of any award wins / directory listings;
- ensuring all bid content, including CVs, credentials and firm information, is updated regularly and accessible / available to all that require it;
- ensuring correct filing of all completed bids;
- contributing to BD, Marketing & Comms reports, as well as supporting the delivery of the BD, Marketing & Comms strategic objectives; and
- providing general support, when required, to the Director of BD, Marketing & Communications and the wider BD, Marketing & Comms team.
About you
You will ideally have the following skills and experience :
- at least 3 years' experience in a Bids and Pursuits Advisor or Coordinator role or similar, preferably in the legal industry or professional services;
- degree in Marketing, Business or related qualification;
- demonstrated experience as part of a Bids & Pursuits team, including project management, and a proven ability to successfully manage legal bid processes;
- excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- strong attention to detail;
- strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suites (essential);
- ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines;
- strong organisational skills;
- proactive and strong problem-solving abilities; and
- ability to work autonomously and interact in a team environment.
