Designation : Sales Manager
Compensation : INR 20-30 LPA
Timings : USA Eastern Timings
Job location : Bangalore
Minimum Education : BS / BE Computer Science, IT, or Engineering or MS in Science; MBA a Plus
Minimum Experience : 5-10 years of experience. Including 3+ years of work experience as a sales person selling offshore IT projects to US or Canada clients. US preferred
Sell offshore & onsite IT project services to organizations in the USA
Will have a sales (invoicing) target of at least $500K offshore / onsite hybrid projects, in the 1st year
Growth in the company would depend on the sales results achieved
Good Performers can expect to move to USA in about 18 months time frame
For making a sale, visits to client sites (North America) may be Generate leads by Social media / LinkedIn with US based organizations
Qualify accounts & develop them to the level of getting orders
Work closely with and support onsite sales personnel in a very effective manner to get orders
Respond to RFPs and RFIs for offshore or hybrid (onsite / offshore) IT solutions
Generate appropriate sales material for each client based on their perceived needs and ensure the sales material are input in client company's vendor registration web sites
Plan sales / marketing events for US sales team
Do research on client companies and produce reports for US sales team
Develop business plans, marketing plans, advertisements
Maintain / organize all sales / marketing material
Develop new ideas to improve sales / marketing Must have prior sales experience (Minimum 3 years of Sales / Solution Architect experience in an offshore project services company selling and / or supporting onsite sales team from India responsible for selling IT projects on a T&M basis or Fixed Bid basis to North America market. The software projects can be software development, software testing, IT infrastructure projects. Selling experience with latest technologies such as Cloud Migration, DevOps, Agile development, Data Analytics / AI is required.
Candidate must have prior IT project execution experience with hands-on experience as a technical project member. However, the candidate currently should not be in that role. Instead, should be in current Sales role or Solution architect role developing software project proposals for new opportunities
Should have experience to develop, review and understand IT project proposals independently or in conjunction with technical team.
Should be able to evaluate cost, and recommend the bill rate based on market conditions, interacting with onsite BDMs. Establish reasonable margins for SOWs for stable operation. Should preferably have experience in estimating software projects in at least one technical area e.g. Java development projects, or QA projects.
Should have experience in pricing software projects in his area of expertise (e.g. Java development) on a Time and Material or Fixed bid basis.
Should have thorough understanding of current offshore market rates for offshore / onsite / hybrid (onsite / offshore) projects such as offshore rates of various IT skills, North America onsite rates or Blended onsite offshore rates.
Excellent written and spoken English language skills
Working level experience to work with Power Point, Word, Outlook
Must be interested in making a career in software services sales & marketing in the USA
