Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Advanced degree in climate science, environmental studies, sustainable development, natural resource management, or related discipline
5+ years of experience in climate adaptation, resilience planning, or related fields
Demonstrated involvement in developing or updating NDCs, LT-LEDS, or NAPs, particularly in developing country contexts
Proficiency in conducting CVRAs and translating findings into actionable strategies
Experience working with climate models and interpreting risk projections
Strong grasp of techno-commercial analysis, cost estimation, and financing pathways
Familiarity with climate finance mechanisms such as GCF, GEF, and bilateral donor programs
Effective communication, analytical thinking, and facilitation skills.
Exposure to UNFCCC reporting processes (BUR, TNC, BTR) is an advantage
Preferred Attributes
Prior experience supporting national governments in climate strategy development
Background in climate and sustainability consulting or advisory roles.
Knowledge of ecosystem-based adaptation, nature-based solutions, and coastal resilience approaches
Ability to integrate gender and social inclusion into adaptation planning.
Skilled in translating technical analysis into policy guidance and investment strategies
