About the Role

We are supporting a major global food manufacturing organisation in hiring a

Senior SAP ABAP Developer (ABAPer)

for a 6-month contract. This role sits within a large-scale

PR / PO invoice transformation programme

and requires a developer who is comfortable operating in a complex, multinational SAP environment.

You will work closely with global process owners, functional consultants, and technical teams to deliver high-quality ABAP development, ensuring smooth integration and performance across a sophisticated SAP landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP solutions within the PR / PO invoice workstream

Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones (US, EU, APAC)

Support functional colleagues with technical feasibility, solution design, and troubleshooting

Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and best-practice development standards

Work within a structured programme environment with clear sprint deliverables

Essential Experience

Senior-level SAP ABAP (7+ years)

with deep expertise in core development tools

Strong hands-on experience with

Reports, Enhancements, Interfaces, User Exits, BAPIs, BADIs, and Forms (SmartForms / Adobe)

Proven background working on

global SAP programmes

within large enterprises

Experience supporting PR / PO, invoicing, procurement, or finance-related SAP processes

Strong communicator with the ability to work effectively across global teams

Comfortable working autonomously and driving workstreams to completion
