Role Overview
The Instructional Designer (ID) is responsible for designing engaging, effective, and learner-centric training materials that align with business goals and learning objectives. The role focuses on creating impactful learning experiences using instructional design principles, creative storytelling, and collaboration with subject matter experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and understand course content to create creative, high-quality storyboards within defined timelines based on the ADDIE model.
- Identify and analyze learning needs and objectives to design targeted training solutions.
- Develop training modules that empower teams to succeed in their roles.
- Design the structure and flow of learning content to ensure logical progression and engagement.
- Develop instructional strategies and innovative learning approaches to enhance retention.
- Create effective assessments—including MCQs, case studies, and simulations—to evaluate learning outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather, validate, and refine content.
- Ensure all deliverables align with learning standards and best practices.
- Provide detailed instructions and guidance to the Design Team for visual and interactive content development.
Required Skill Sets
Learning Models & Theories : Strong grasp of instructional design models, learning theories, and adult learning principles.Content Structuring : Ability to logically organize and sequence content to meet learning objectives.Storytelling : Expertise in developing engaging narratives and relatable learning scenarios.Assessment Design : Proficiency in designing effective quizzes, case studies, and evaluations.Multimedia Integration : Familiarity with incorporating videos, images, audio, and interactivity into learning modules.Communication : Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with SMEs and cross-functional teams.Project Management : Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables.Skills Required
