We are looking for a skilled Eye Surgeon to diagnose and treat various eye conditions through surgical and non-surgical methods. The ideal candidate should be proficient in advanced ophthalmic surgeries and patient care across outpatient and inpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and surgical planning for eye surgeries
- Perform a range of ophthalmic surgeries such as cataract (phacoemulsification), glaucoma, retinal detachment, LASIK, squint correction, etc.
- Diagnose and manage various ophthalmic diseases and disorders
- Interpret imaging and diagnostic tests (OCT, fundus photography, A / B scan, etc.)
- Maintain patient records and provide post-operative follow-up care
- Coordinate with optometrists, technicians, and anesthetists for surgical procedures
- Participate in eye camps, community outreach, or school screening programs (if applicable)
- Guide junior doctors or ophthalmology residents (in teaching institutions)
- Ensure compliance with medical protocols and regulatory standards
Key Requirements :
MBBS with MS / DNB in OphthalmologyValid MCI or State Medical Council RegistrationExperience in performing independent eye surgeries, especially cataractFamiliarity with latest surgical techniques and ophthalmic instrumentsGood clinical judgment and diagnostic accuracyStrong patient counseling and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications :
Fellowship or advanced training in a subspecialty (e.g., retina, cornea, pediatric ophthalmology)Experience in managing high surgical volumes or in a high-end ophthalmic setupExposure to EMR systems and digital diagnosticsParticipation in academic research or community ophthalmology is a plusSkills Required
