A Day in the Life :

The Principal Software Engineer reports directly to the Engineering Manager and plays a key role within the R&D Engineering team, contributing to the design, development, and support of software for medical devices.

This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Hardware, Software, Project Management, and Quality & Regulatory and may also involve interaction with clinicians, third-party vendors, and manufacturing partners.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned :

• Participates, as a member of software project or sub-project team(s), in the development of software applications for product / test tools.
• Adheres to defined development plans, guidelines, and procedures.
• Generates high-quality work products.
• Translates requirements / specifications into design, and ultimately software.
• Participates in requirements, design and code reviews as they pertain to software designs.
• Participates in other activities, such as performing hazard and risk analysis, reviews of designs and tests, etc.
• Functions well in a team environment.
• Demonstrates good coding practices.
