Job Description
As an HR Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to business and functional leaders, driving people strategies that enable performance, growth, and culture. You’ll collaborate closely with leadership to translate business goals into people initiatives — balancing empathy with execution.
This role requires a strong understanding of both people operations and strategic HR — perfect for someone who loves to be hands-on while shaping the future of work at STAGE.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Partnering
Partner with business leaders to align people strategy with organizational goals.
Act as a coach and consultant to managers on talent management, team effectiveness, and organizational design.
Use people insights and analytics to influence decisions and drive continuous improvement.
2. Talent & Performance Management
Lead performance management cycles — goal setting, reviews, and development planning.
Collaborate with the TA team to ensure strong workforce planning and talent pipeline building.
Identify and develop high-potential talent for leadership and critical roles.
3. Culture & Engagement
Champion STAGE’s values and drive initiatives that strengthen engagement and belonging.
Design and execute employee engagement programs and pulse surveys.
Partner with the leadership team to foster a transparent, feedback-driven culture.
4. Employee Relations & Policy
Act as a trusted point of contact for employees — handling concerns with empathy and objectivity.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, HR policies, and company standards.
Lead initiatives to continuously improve employee experience.
5. Learning & Development
Identify capability gaps and collaborate with L&D to design learning interventions.
Support managers in developing effective teams through coaching and training.
Requirements
5–8 years of experience in HR, with at least 3 years as an HR Business Partner in a startup or fast-scaling environment.
Strong understanding of HR domains : employee relations, performance management, org design, compensation, and engagement.
Proven experience working with tech, product, and creative teams.
Excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
Hands-on experience with HRIS / HRMS tools (like Darwinbox, Keka, or Zoho People).
Nice-to-Have
Experience in media-tech, OTT, or digital entertainment sectors.
Exposure to scaling HR frameworks in high-growth startups.
Certification in coaching, OD, or people analytics.
