About the Role :

Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU), a leading multidisciplinary university committed to academic excellence and innovation, invites applications for the position of Director (Research) . The Director will lead the university’s research ecosystem, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and impactful scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria :

Essential :

Ph.D. in relevant discipline.

Master’s degree with at least 55% marks.

Minimum 15 years of teaching / research experience in a university or national-level institution / industry, with at least 5 years in leadership roles (Dean / HOD / Research Centre Director, etc.).

Minimum 10 peer-reviewed publications in UGC-CARE / Scopus-indexed journals.

Successfully guided at least 2 Ph.D. candidates.

Post-doctoral research experience.

Desirable :

Proven record of securing major research funding (DST, DBT, UGC, AICTE, etc.).

Experience in large-scale project management, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.

Knowledge of research ethics, IPR, startup incubation, and technology transfer.

Familiarity with ranking systems such as NAAC, NIRF, and QS.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide strategic leadership for all research initiatives across the university.

Develop and implement research policies, strategies, and frameworks in line with national and global standards.

Mentor faculty and research scholars; enhance interdisciplinary and funded research.

Oversee research grants, project management, compliance, and reporting.

Strengthen partnerships with national / international agencies, industries, and institutions.

Promote innovation, IPR, technology transfer, and research commercialization.

Drive university research visibility through quality publications, rankings, and citations.

Tenure : 3–5 years (renewable based on performance)

Age : Preferably below 62 years (relax able as per norms)
