Job descriptionTo ensure the Lighting system development for all projects & Design lighting system and parts like headlamp, tail lamp, indictor lamps etc as per RFQ generation, Vendor evaluation & Design review. Coordinate with Electrical / electronics teams to define interface requirement. Layout and packaging of parts in vehicle from concept stage till final design, Conduct DR, FMEA (system / design) and apply all such tools in the design phase Define performance and reliability test parameters, procedures for such parts. Keep track of global trends in relevant technology, regulations and develop long term Benchmarking and generation of ideas for better performance, quality, cost, weight Root cause analysis for quality issues, warranty cases using QC tools and Define overall activity schedule for all projects, monitor the same periodically and Proficient in all tools for lamps design, layout (lamp internal, vehicle side), optical Thorough in fundamentals and design concepts for lighting, including all types of light Fully conversant with automotive industry standards and regulations, applicable Product lifecycle management systemKnowledge in ISO / TS standards for design, environment, information security and Exposure to lamps / bulbs / LED manufacturing and validation facilities, hands on Knowledge of various Plastic materials for automotive lamps and their selection.Understanding of electronics, EVs would be an advantage. Effective team player and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.Taking initiative and desire to transform concepts to reality.Effective communication with team, peers and seniors.Practice of continuous improvement in all aspects Current and upcoming regulatory requirements and their compliance.Awareness to global regulatory authorities and other associations who formulate
